Mission

Twiggs Academy strives to provide a safe and orderly climate for learning and for challenging each student to achieve maximum potential through an educational program that promotes excellence and places Christ at the center of all. [1]

Philosophy

Twiggs Academy believes that the Christian education is based on the belief that mankind finds spiritual salvation and fulfilment in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:7). Children are viewed as individuals created by God with unique abilities and capabilities. Twiggs Academy and parents partner together to educate children as total persons spiritually, intellectually, socially, physically, and culturally. [2]

History

Twiggs Academy was established in 1970 by a group of Twiggs County parents who believed that the Middle Georgia area needed an independent college preparatory school.

Today Twiggs Academy is a nondenominational Christian School. Twiggs Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its education policies, admission policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.

A large gymnasium, a modern media center and science lab, a library, baseball, softball, and football fields, and a cafeteria are located on the Twiggs Academy Campus.[3]
